TV’s Most Addictive Shows

These days TV shows have taken over the movie industry. TV shows have never been as good as they are today. Everyone wants to be apart of a TV show even A-list movie actors such as Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. More and more writers and producers are creating TV shows; some stay around for years, and some don’t even get picked up for a second season. Every year numerous TV shows premiere, making it hard to determine what is worth watching and what isn’t. With the fall season being in full effect it is a great time to stay in and watch TV’s most addictive shows.

Good Behavior

This TNT show is based on the Letty Dobesh books under the same title. Chad Hodge is the creator and writer of the show. From the beginning, he will reel you in with his writing styles and twisted storylines. It stars Michelle Dockery as Letty Raines who’s a thief and con artist with a heart of gold. Despite her having a prison and drug-addicted past she is trying her best to clean up her life and be a good mother to her son. Things become nearly impossible when she meets a hitman named Javier played by Juan Diego Botto. To stop him from killing a man’s wife, she gets caught up in a dangerous, seductive rollercoaster.The first episode premiered on November 15, 2016. The new season started October 15, 2017, and airs every Sunday at 10 on TNT. Good Behavior has an 8.2 out of 10 on the IMDB and a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes. What makes this show so addictive is the way it sets itself aside from other shows. Its fast paced action scenes and storylines will leave you wanting to watch episode after episode. It is a drama that’s great to binge watch with friends and family.

The Good Doctor

Bates Motel star Freddie Highmore stars as Dr. Shaun Murphy. He is a young surgeon with autism. Despite this social disorder, he is a brilliant doctor that uniquely sees things, unlike other doctors. He relocates to the highly praised hospital San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital with the support of his mentor. Not everyone is a fan of him working in the hospital. As time goes on more people, start to support him and see his worth at San Jose. He is alone in the world and can’t connect with anyone around him. This show is addictive because it pulls on your heartstrings with Shaun’s emotional journey and the patients he cares for. This is fall’s #1 show and aires Monday at 10 on ABC.

Stranger Things

The original Netflix series Stranger Things is another addictive binge-worthy series. It stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers living in a small Indiana town in 1983. When her 12-year-old son goes missing, she investigates and finds supernatural activities involving an unusual little girl. This show is an addictive coming of age story with stand out characters and mythical storytelling. It is a definite binge-worthy show the whole family. Season 2 just premiered October 27, 2017, on Netflix.

Big Little Lies

One of this year's biggest shows is Big Little Lies. It stars Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. It is based on the novel under the same title, and it surrounds four women who seemingly have the perfect lives. Behind closed doors, they are involved with abuse, infidelity, rape, and big little lies. The show’s addictive characters, dramatic storylines and realistic portrayals will have you wanting more after each episode. The first season premiered on HBO on February 19, 2017. The series earned 16 Emmys including a win for Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard.Take the time to binge watch any of these shows, and I promise you will not be disappointed.
