What To Do To Start the Week Off Right
That transition from Sunday evening to Monday morning is a tough one. I often find myself wanting another weekend in the timeframe between 8 pm Sunday to 8 am Monday. But, seeing as there are still five days in a workweek and two days in the weekend, I must endure. There are a few small ways that can help you begin your week on a good note and carry that positivity throughout the week. Try some of these simple tasks to start your week right.
Keep Groceries Stocked Up
It may sound like a small matter, but having a full fridge can help. Go to the grocery store and plan your meals ahead for your week. This will help you avoid spending money by going out as well as kick the tendency to order takeout. You'll eat a bit better, and you won't have to run and pick up breakfast before work starts on Monday.
Make Sure Your Space Is Clean
Whether you own a home, rent an apartment, or live in a dorm, a clean space is a good space. The excess dirt or clutter will weigh on your mind at certain points: "I have to clean this up eventually!" or "I can't have people over when my place looks like this.". The fact is, clutter is stressful no matter what, and its absence will make you feel better about yourself and your space.
Set Weekly Goals
Want to make time for the gym this week? Good, jot that down. Need to get a head start on certain projects? Schedule that in. Looking to start that book you've had forever finally? Push some things around. Whether pressing matters or mundane tasks, setting weekly goals for yourself to accomplish is a simple and effective way to promote a positive mentality. We all dread that Monday morning alarm clock and I don't think anything can completely alleviate that, but there are ways to soften the blow. You can't control time, but you can control what you do with it.
