How to Make Rosé at Home
Wine is loved by people all over the world, and one of the most favored types of wine is Rosé, a wine that is too wild to be considered a white, and too cool to be considered a red. Rosé is in a league of its own, just like the cute boy/girl that was in your biology class, that you were too scared to talk to.
Rosé gets its pink color from the skin of grapes. The longer the juices are in contact with the grape skins, the darker the wine will become. To get that perfect Rosé color, the skins of the grapes are left in for just a few short hours. Have you ever wanted to make your own Rosé at home? Well, with just a few easy steps, you can.
So not all of us are skilled winemakers, and most people don’t have a vineyard in their backyard. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to stain my feet purple from crushing a bunch of grapes. Now I love wine, and Rosé just so happens to be one of my favorites, but after a long day, I don’t want to have to work to get my glass of wine. The good news is that you can make your very own Rosé at home, even if your home is far away from Napa Valley.
Making Rosé at home is probably one of the easiest things to do. So easy, in fact it will probably come as a surprise. All you need is two simple ingredients, and you can have your very own Rosé to enjoy. All you need is a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and a bottle of Shiraz. In case you didn’t know, the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine that is very sweet. And the bottle of Shiraz is a dry red wine.
All you have to do is combine the two wines, and you will have yourself some of your very own Rosé. The mixing ratio of the two wines is all up to you. Experience with different amounts of each wine until you find that perfect taste. Now I wouldn’t make the Rosé using two $500 bottles of wine, but you can use any brand of wine that you like. Whatever your favorite kind of wine is.
I bet you never thought making your very own Rosé at home could be that easy. Well, it most definitely is. And you don’t have to be a winemaker to make it either. Feel free to buy some empty wine bottles and bottle your new creation up. You can even make a label for your new bottle of wine. And if you want to tell all of your friends that you spent your weekend at a vineyard learning how to make Rosé by professional winemakers, your secret is safe with me. I hope you enjoy your very own Rosé that you created and remember always to drink responsibly.
