Why God Puts Obstacles in Your Path

Why God Puts Obstacles in Your Path

Obstacles are in everyone’s path. Maybe, you lost your job, or you're dealing with a rough relationship. In some instances, the hurdles are such a burden we beg God to take the pain away. Sometimes, we question God and ask Him why He would do something like this. However, each and every difficulty that is placed in our life is there for a specific purpose. There is a multitude of reasons why God puts problems in our life. Below are five reasons why God might put an obstacle in the path of His disciples.

To Challenge You

Whenever we come across a problem in our life, we are challenged. We learn how to cope and how to move pass this testing time. Along with this, challenges make us stronger and well-rounded. We develop into more knowledgeable, humble and understanding people. If everything in our lives were perfect, we would not be the same people we are now. The challenges placed in our life are there for a reason, and in some moments, they can be a blessing in disguise. The obstacles may be challenging, but at the end of the day, they are going to benefit our progression as followers of Christ.

Because He Cares About You

Often times when we are going through a rough period in our lives, it can seem as if God does not care. However, this is the complete opposite of the truth. He situates glitches in our life paths because He cares about us unconditionally. He loves us extraordinarily, so He wants us to become the optimum version of ourselves. In order to reach our full potential, we must experience difficulties. These complications, like stated above, transform us into better-rounded people and greater Christians. With the right mindset, obstacles can grant us the opportunity to develop into a more devoted Christian.

So You Can Grow In Your Faith

Growing as a Christian is one of the most imperative aspects of our lives. When we are faced with difficulties, we grow. When we experience these difficult phases of our lives, we transfigure into an enhanced version of our Christian selves. We learn about ourselves and our faith. We discover our flaws and understand our strengths. In these moments, we can highlight our strengths and learn how to use our flaws in a positive way. When we grow as Christians, we also grow closer to God. Our main purpose on this Earth is to reach heaven, so growing as a follower of Christ is an essential objective of life. God wants us to make it to heavenly paradise; therefore, He wants us to grow in our faith. When we face and overcome obstacles, we take a step towards God and our eternal home.

To Understand You

When we are hurt and in pain, we are in one of our most vulnerable states. In these moments our truest and purest hearts are opened. This is an opportunity for us to sincerely understand and grasp His spiritual hand in relief. When we turn to God in these moments, we learn about ourselves, our faith and allow God to enter our heart in a vaster magnitude. Remember, obstacles are an opportunity to turn to God, not away from Him. Sometimes, life is hard, but having God by our side will significantly help us move past any obstacle in our life.

To Test Your Faith

It would be so simple and easy to believe in God if everything in our lives were flawless. It is when we are going through turbulent times that we question our faith. Therefore, the obstacles in our path test our faith. It is our responsibility as Christians to remain faithful and turn to God even in seemingly hopeless situations. God must test our faith in order to reveal His authentic followers. When we remain loyal to God, we are proving that we are indeed His disciples. When our faith is tested, we are given the opportunity to show our genuine devotion to Him.Earth is our temporary home. As Christians, we strive for an eternal life with our heavenly Father. When we face obstacles, we are able to morph into better Christians and ultimately, reach our final goal—heaven. Obstacles may seem like a senseless event, but they are actually the most important and influential moments of our lives.
