Exercises to Get More Fit

Fitness is the ability to act physically or mentally in a reasonable time and is healthy in many ways. Fitness, resulting from regular exercise, helps keep a healthy weight. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, lowers blood pressure, and betters cholesterol levels. Exercise-induced fitness also boosts mental health, strengthens bones and muscles, and helps complete daily physical acts with ease. It depletes the risk of colon and breast cancer. With all these other benefits, the fit outlives the unfit, too. Fitness must be any's priority, but which exercises can you use to become fit?

Playing Sports

Those who do gym workouts can enjoy sports - basketball, football, soccer, tennis, baseball, hockey, cricket, and more. Playing these sports requires you to detect body signals, area space (for passes and such), distances between players, passing and running patterns, and synthesize all this information to direct one's body. Repetition of these actions improves pattern recognition and spatial intelligence skills. The Institute of Sports Science found that engaging in sports increases one's ability to do mental rotations, too. One can then do some tasks better, such as navigating traffic or reading maps.

Squatting

To do squats correctly, you  should stand without a slouch, straighten your arms at full length so that your armpits are a 90-degree angle, and then bend the knees. Your rear should be at about the place at which a small stool would be if you were to sit, and your knees should point outside of the shoelaces. Your back should be straight, even when bending, and your feet should be flat on the ground and not too far outward or inward in direction. Your feet and the knees should be in the same direction at the same angles, too. You can intensify your squat by adding weights.

Walking

Walking and running are the simplest of exercises. Simply getting out and walking more can be beneficial For example, if your office is blocks away, instead of hailing a taxi or driving, walk to work instead.  If you need more convincing on whether you should walk more, walking also enhances creativity.

Running

Whether you're a morning person or a night owl running at any time of the day is better than not running at all. Here are some pros and cons of running at that certain time. Running is not only good for your physical health but can improve your memory. Running (or general exercise) increases the production of hippocampus cells, which are responsible for memory and learning. Also, running, in one study, improved vocabulary retention in healthy adults.

Biking

Biking is another form of exercise that can benefit your health. You can bike up a mountain, or around the block, everyone is at different stages and may want a different type of workout.There are a plethora of different kinds of exercises you can do to be healthy. The ones I listed are just a few that can jumpstart your journey to be a healthier you.
