Book Review: Grace is Greater by Kyle Idleman

Book Review: Grace is Greater by Kyle Idleman

Have you been wronged in the worst possible way and can’t seem to move on? Ever felt like no one understands the weight you carry? I want to share with you a book that will answer these questions; Grace is Greater by Kyle Idleman does exactly that.

Grace is Greater

Just hearing that should cause an instant response in us.  Grace is a very misused and misunderstood word and concept for some people. When I was gifted with the book Grace is Greater, I thought I knew Grace. But God wanted to heal things that I was not willing to let go. Pastor Kyle Idleman extends in this book an instruction manual and an extension of God’s Grace. He starts explaining in depth what Grace really is and how it is available to us even though we did nothing to deserve it. In a world that teaches us always to expect something in return, God wants us to receive and extend Grace as it has been given to us. This book is filled with different stories and testimonies showing you how Grace is Greater than any situation.

Accepting that Grace is Greater

Recommending books is something natural and normal for me. I think there is a book for everything! I would never recommend anything that didn’t have a Spiritual impact on my life. This book peeled my layers and exposed parts of me that I thought were resolved. I was hiding bitterness and anger but not in the way you could see it; it was festering inside me making me a prisoner of the circumstances and the people who hurt me.I thought I had forgiven. This book exposed me to the truth. It made me understand that all the guilt I was carrying, all the complaining and bitterness had a root. Unresolved feelings cause this to be a reaction in me. God’s Grace was chasing me down, and I thought it was to punish me or to expose me. But it only wanted to redeem me and set me free.In Grace is Greater you will find yourself awakening in ways you never thought possible. It will challenge you. This book is not to be read quickly but to let God speak to you and use it as a guide for God to show you what areas you need to let go of and fall completely into Grace. Because it does not matter how bad, how unforgivable it seems, Grace is Greater.
