Uplifting Christian Music

Edward Cisneros

If there’s something that everyone goes through, its hardships. We all face the ups and downs that life throws at us. No matter who you are or what you do, hardships and suffering are with us. Also, if there’s one thing everyone enjoys, it’s music. Music is an international language that touches everyone. It doesn’t matter what language it is, but it matters if you connect with this music. Facing hardships and loving music is definitely something everyone has in common. Even as Christians. Here are some songs, that will lift you up when feeling you’re feeling down.

Happy Day by Tim Huges

The chorus sings, “Oh, happy day, happy day, you washed my sin away.” Released in 2009, Huges, releases the song, “Happy Day,” as a reminder for us. A reminder that God sent his son Jesus to die for our sins. And because of this moment, we shouldn’t have to worry about what the future is holding. Whatever, sin that we have committed God has allowed us to be forgiven by Him.

Not only that, this song is incredibly upbeat. When you’re feeling down or disappointed in yourself, you don’t want to listen to sad songs. You want to listen to songs that are upbeat and make you happy. What better way than to listen to, “Happy Day.”

Desert Song by Hillsong

Sometimes we forget about how powerful prayer can be. And how even though we are experiencing a rough patch, we should still pray. When we are in the midst of all these trials we are facing it is hard to worship God. We ask God why these things happen and why do we suffer from it. But we need to understand that God is still God and he will provide.

All of my life, in every season, you are still God, I have a reason to sing, I have a reason to worship.” So as we have seen, in each season of life, our prayer can be rooted in the Word of God. But more than that, this song teaches us that we should approach God “in every season. No matter what is going on in our life, God is still God.

Indescribable by Laura Story

Written by Laura Story, the song first became a huge success after Chris Tomlin recorded on his album back in 2002. The song, “Indescribable,” really explains who God is. He is indescribable. There are no words to describe how incredible and how awesome He is. This song is just yet again another reminder of how amazing God truly is. And because of how incredible and powerful he is, we shouldn’t worry about anything bad coming our way.

Sweetly Broken by Jeremy Riddle

Sweetly Broken truly is an amazing song. The song shows how God can take the things that Satan tries to use for evil, and completely turn it around for Good. God allowed the punishment of the cross to be the greatest love sacrifice anyone has ever shown. If you allow it to, the true power of the cross and the sacrifice Jesus made really does beckon us. And draw us to our knees, to become speechless, broken and surrendered.

With the release of this song in 2007, Riddle touched the hearts of many people, having them to be reminded of what God has done for them. Ultimately, this song makes a connection with God and reminds them of the greatness he has done.

We were made to worship. Don’t feel ashamed or embarrassed to share your favorite Christian music. Music is something we can all relate to and enjoy. You may never know who you can inspire and help with this music.
