Whether you’re super busy or just want delicious food made easy, this recipe could be just the thing for you! Freezer packs are a way of meal prepping by freezing the ingredients for a meal until you need them. With slow cooker freezer packs, it’s literally a drop and go meal. As fall is underway and winter not far behind, you’re probably craving a warm and hearty meal. This slow cooker beef stew freezer pack is sure to hit the spot!
- 1 ½ lbs of beef stew meat cut into 1 inch pieces (you can find them pre-cut in your local grocery store)
- 1 ½ cups of beef broth
- McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning Mix
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 4 Dore potatoes cut into quarters
- 1 cup of chopped carrots
- 1 can of corn
Measure and cut all ingredients. Place them each in separate freezer bags (the spices and flour can go into one bag and the seasoning mix can be left out). This process should take no more than 15 minutes. I told you it’d be easy. Label and place the freezer bags in your freezer. When you decide you want to make your delicious beef stew, simply take the freezer bags out of the freezer and place in your refrigerator the night before to thaw. In the morning, grab the bags and dump the ingredients into your slow cooker. Turn it on low and let it cook for 12 hours or turn it on high and let it cook for 6 hours. Run errands, clean the house, or go to work. Your delicious beef stew will be ready to serve when the time is up! Enjoy!
Try your own variations of vegetables. Try replacing the beef with chicken. It’s completely up to you to customize and make it your own!
