Sometimes starting a new year can be a little depressing. Going back to ‘normal life’ after all of the fun that comes along with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. With the holidays you get time off from work, there is an excitement in the air, and there is so much to look forward to! You’ve got Thanksgiving dinner to devour, Christmas presents to open and staying up until midnight for New Year’s! But then 2017 starts and there aren’t any more big holidays on the horizon. You quickly fall into a routine at work, and if you’re not careful you might start feeling a little down in the dumps! In order to stay positive with a few things to wait expectantly for, here is a list of things to look forward to in 2017.
If you like Disneyland then you will be excited to know that Rivers of America will reopen during summer 2017. This means that the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Pirate’s Lair, Tom Sawyer’s Island, and the Disneyland Railroad will all be functioning again!

All you sports fanatics probably already know this, but Super Bowl 2017 will be on February 5! Whether or not your home team is playing it’s still a fun time to together with friends and family to watch!

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper this sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) comes out May 5.
The fifth installment of Captain Jack Sparrow’s seafaring adventures stars (of course) Johnny Depp as well as Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, and Javier Bardem. Sparrow seeks the trident of Poseidon while Captain Salazar (Bardem) seeks Sparrow’s life. Dead Men Tell No Tales will be hitting theaters May 26.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, and Benedict Cumberbatch this latest installment in the Thor story line hits theaters November 3.
The eighth episode of this ever-growing franchise features Rey in her journey alongside Poe, Finn, and Luke Skywalker. Starring Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver this flick is set to be released on December 15.
