Prioritizing Your Faith in the Midst of A Turmoil

Ben White

It is during the time that we hurt the most, feel the worst, feel the weakest and have lost the most that we must keep our faith strong. During our lowest and weakest points of life, we are susceptible to having small, large and entire faith breakdowns. We have a tendency to lose hope and trust because what we are going through is not being handled the way we want it to. We just don’t want to wait on God.
God wants us to trust entirely and completely on Him for everything. Many times during a turmoil which is “a state of great commotion, confusion, or disturbance; tumult; agitation; disquiet: mental turmoil caused by difficult decisions,” we tend to lean and try everyone and everything but God. It is after we have tried everything and everyone else that we decide that we should now turn it over to God to figure and straighten out the mess that we are in.

and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to. Matthew 6:33 TLB

In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6 TLB

Always put God first, in the awesome times of life recognize God. When things are not going the way that you want them to recognize God.

Always keep your faith strong.

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. Hebrews 11:1 NCV

Many of us think that it would be glorious if were to never have any turmoil. However, it is that very turmoil that strengthens and grow us.

My brothers and sisters, when you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience.Let your patience show itself perfectly in what you do. Then you will be perfect and complete and will have everything you need.”James 1:2 – 4 NCV

Our priorities during any turmoil must be to keep God first and to keep our faith strong. Let us know how you prioritize your faith in the midst of turmoil below!
