Prayers You Should Pray Everyday

God told us to be anxious for nothing, but to pray about everything. The bible also says to pray without ceasing. There is a reason God has emphasized the importance of prayer. It is the way we communicate with Him and it is one of our greatest defenses against the enemy. Prayer is not just important, it is absolutely necessary. Here are some prayers every believer should pray every day.

We must first and foremost pray over our relationship with God. The whole point of the Christian life is relationship and staying close to Jesus is not easy. There are many things we can do to stay close to God, but by praying we emphasize our need for His divine power to help us stay close. We also combat the tactics of the enemy to keep us far from God. This scripture is one that I pray every day:

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. Ephesians 3:18 NLT

God designed us with a plan and purpose. We weren’t made to live mindlessly. It is vital to pray over our purpose and for the strength to walk in purpose daily. By praying about it, we can keep our mind focused on purpose. This scripture highlights the importance of prayer and seeking His will:

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 NLT

God’s Church

The bible speaks of the importance of praying for other believers. We are all children of God and thus we are family. We face similar struggles so it’s great to be able to pray for someone in your shoes. There are also, unfortunately, others who face more difficult struggles than most. Christians who are facing persecution are most definitely in need of our prayers.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:18 NLT
