Do you have trouble figuring out God’s will for your life? Sometimes it’s not clear. Life gets in the way and causes us to lose sight of Heavenly Father. However, thankfully the Lord is patient. He waits for us to get it all back together. There’s a way to discern the will of our Lord very clearly. Let’s discuss that through Scripture.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).
The Lord wants us to live a happy life full of faith and hope, not despair and stress. This is precisely why Jesus said to cast all our cares on Him. If you can do this, even daily, your load in daily living will be lighter. At work, at home, anywhere that you feel stressed out or scared, ask the Lord for help in your mind for He hears our hearts’ desire.
God Never Changes
Even in the New Testament, God’s will never change for us:
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV).
God wants us to come to repentance and walk in His ways. In other words, be more like Jesus’ example and rely on God wherever you are in life. God meets you halfway. It is God’s will that we become saved and enter his Heavenly family; He promises us a future in Heaven. Wait upon the Lord to move in your life. You must give your life to the Lord for Him to move in it. That’s the most vital part of the process.
God’s Will Overcomes
God’s will is set down in the Bible, and the type of person we should be is there. Wickedness has no part in a Christian’s life. Remember, God’s will is to save everyone and bring them to repentance. He wants us to give Him our lives and surrender to Him so that He can move in our lives. We are promised blessings and a future in Heaven if we do.
