“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer” Psalm 94:19
I once heard that doubt can destroy success far more than failure can, and I think that is so unbelievably accurate. When have you had the urge to do something or stand up for something you believe in but that little voice in your heard started saying lies in your ear and you believed every last one of them.
I firmly believe that fear and doubt are from the devil, he created those emotions to detract us from the joy and comfort that Christ can bring to our lives. God created us to be brave, to be examples of this goodness and to never be in a comfortable place. We should be comfortable in ourselves but we should never be comfortable when it comes to our spreading of the word and our personal faith. If you are comfortable with your faith then you aren’t growing in the way God planned for you. Never be afraid to be someone’s friend or to show love through Christ-like behavior, just like you should never be afraid to reach for any of your dreams. God gave you this amazing potential in life, don’t ever waste it just because a voice in your head or someone else’s voice told you other wise.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” – 2 Timothy 1:7
When facing doubt always pray for guidance to the Lord to see if what you’re praying about is part of God’s plan for you, it may not be BUT if it is then God will give you the confidence you need to face that doubt head on. Always remember that you are God’s chosen creation, that means that He has every hope and confidence in you, you can do anything through Him and with Him. Never forget that doubt is normal and everyone experiences doubt throughout their lives. The only difference is how you handle that doubt in your life, do you let it defeat you or do you stand up against it.
Do you really believe that you are worthy of that success? Last but not least never deny yourself some positive vibes because you are worthy. No one can build your own confidence you have to do it yourself and you have to believe in yourself. This is a hard task but a lot of that will come from valuing your own self-worth. You are worthy, you are loved, and you are worth dying for because Jesus did that for you 2000 years ago already. You are worthy of so much in God’s eyes, so have fun, be happy, and fight for what you want and what you believe in; no matter what that little voice in your head says!
